bangalas

This morning I saw 2 bangalas in the park.. one was on a bike, the other was running along side 'making' the one on the bike.. the one on the bike toppled to the side and the one running tripped over the fallen bike and nearly fell.. they were both laughing and seemingly having a good time..

The life of a bangala can't be good. Minimum wage, hard labour, away from home.. yet they seem to be a happy lot for most I've seen.. For one, they are capable of doing anything they want without giving a care. lying around in fields drinking beer, holding hands even though it seems gay, driving those garbage buggies around while making it seem like its really fun.. (i suppose you don't really smell the garbage when you drive cuz the wind would be blowing against you)

if you remembered a long time ago, i also mentioned here that a bangala wanted to take a picture with me using the laptop's webcam in a sony shop.. I think the bangalas here in sg have come a long way from their slums back in wherever to the void decks of sg. 

Where would we be without them building our walkways and parks.. Sg should have a bangala appreciation day (not bad of an excuse for another public holiday, and I know what you're thinking.. it's not the same as labour day)
